NTT Data, a publicly owned company founded in 1988, is a subsidiary of the NTT Group. Headquartered in Japan, it employs approximately 64,520 people and provides IT services and consulting globally, with operations in over 50 countries.
NTT Data appointed Jack Nichols as operations director of defense networks and cyber integrations on Thursday. Nichols brings over three decades of leadership experience from the U.S. Army. The company also announced a waste heat recovery project at its Berlin1 Data Center, supplying up to 8 MW of heating capacity to the "Das Neue Gartenfeld" development. This project involves collaboration with Quartierswerk Gartenfeld, a joint venture between Engie Deutschland and Gasag Solution Plus. Additionally, NTT Data and NTT Data Kansai began a joint study with Shonan Kamakura General Hospital to assess the three-month continuation rate of wearable device usage among TAVI patients. A separate NTT Data study examined the future of payment methods in Peru and beyond, focusing on digital transformation trends.
