The experiment involved using a laser beam to transmit energy wirelessly over a distance of one kilometer. A second report on the same day detailed the experiment further, stating that by irradiating a laser beam with an optical power of 1 kW, the team received 152 W of electric power. A subsequent report on September 18, 2025, highlighted the experiment's success in demonstrating the world’s most efficient optical wireless power transmission under atmospheric interference, achieving a 15% efficiency rate over the one-kilometer distance.
