Ogilvy is a privately owned company, headquartered in the US and part of WPP. Founded in 1948, the company employs approximately 12,300 people globally. Functioning as a global advertising and PR agency, it provides services in growth and innovation, advertising and branding, public relations, and health, in addition to operating a strategy division known as Ogilvy Consulting.
Ogilvy EMEA CEO Patou Nuytemans exited her role on April 24, 2026, with the position not slated for replacement. On the same day, discussions emerged regarding whether Diet Coke awarding its UK and EMEA business to Ogilvy represented a new win or a defense, considering Ogilvy owner WPP's existing binding relationship with The Coca-Cola Company and the formation of its dedicated Open X agency for marketing. Previously, on April 23, Ogilvy Argentina, in collaboration with Hellmann’s and Oruga Cine, launched the "Tasty Backs" campaign, which utilized people's backs as an advertising medium at a rock festival in Argentina.
