One Hungary, also known as UPC Hungary, Vodafone Hungary, and Vodafone Magyarország, is a privately owned Hungarian telecommunications company headquartered in Hungary. Founded in 1999, with an estimated 2,900 employees, the company operates as a tier 1 media tech buyer under the ownership of its parent company, 4iG. The company specializes in telecoms, having resulted from the consolidation of Vodafone Hungary (which previously operated as UPC Hungary before the 2019 Vodafone acquisition and 2023 sale to 4iG), DIGI, Antenna Hungária, and Invitech. This merger created a single telecommunications brand serving the Hungarian market.
One Hungary plans to close its subscription terrestrial television service, One Földfelszíni TV, on November 30, 2026, creating uncertainty for the future use of three DVB-T2 multiplexes. Previously, on December 11, 2025, 4iG Group, the parent company, rejected "defamatory statements" made by Hungarian MP Hadházy Ákos, announcing plans to pursue legal action against what it described as market manipulation and public misguidance that damaged the company's reputation. This followed the rebranding on January 1, 2025, when Vodafone Hungary and Digi merged into the One Magyarország Zrt. brand. Concurrently, business and enterprise services of Vodafone Antenna Hungária and Invitech began to be marketed under the One Solutions sub-brand. Earlier that month, on January 8, 2025, the Socialist Party filed a complaint concerning the "underhand" sale of Vodafone to a state-owned fund, alleging the state exchanged high-value shares for lower-value ones in opaque transactions. The opposition claimed this resulted in losses of approximately 13 billion forints (EUR 31.3m) for the state within a year and was detrimental to national interests.
