Founded in 1979 as Matsushita Avionics Systems Corporation, it changed its name in 2005 and now employs approximately 3,800 individuals. The company's primary focus is aviation and aerospace component manufacturing, encompassing the design, engineering, manufacturing, sales, and installation of customized in-flight entertainment and communications devices for airlines worldwide. It functions as a subsidiary of Panasonic Corporation of North America, which is the principal North American subsidiary of Panasonic Corporation, and operates under the umbrella of the Panasonic Connect group. While its headquarters are located in Irvine, California, it also maintains major business functions in Bothell, Washington.
