Paramount Animation is developing a new animated Predator movie with Dan Trachtenberg, who previously directed the animated feature *Predator: Killer of Killers* and revitalized the live-action franchise with *Prey* and *Predator: Badlands*, according to news on June 22, 2026. Earlier on the same day, Paramount Animation announced Trachtenberg would adapt the graphic novel horror comedy *Freddy the 13th*. Previously, on April 14, 2026, Robert Rodriguez was set to direct an animated Christmas movie for the studio. This followed Paramount Animation naming Jennifer Dodge, formerly president at Spin Master Entertainment, as its new president on November 12, 2025, with Dodge taking responsibility for the animation group’s operations from development through to release.
