Paramount Media Networks is a privately owned entity headquartered in the US. Founded in 1977, the company, a division of Paramount Skydance Corporation, employs approximately 4,180 individuals and reported $5.0 billion in revenue as of 2024. The division, originally established as MTV Networks in 1984, oversees the operations of its television channels and online brands, including Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, Paramount Network, and Smithsonian Channel. It was subsequently known as Viacom Media Networks until 2019, and ViacomCBS Domestic Media Networks until 2022, before adopting its current designation.
