Paramount Media Networks, a privately owned entity headquartered in the US, is a subsidiary of Paramount TV Media. The company was founded in 1977 and operates with approximately 4180 employees. It reported $4.6B in revenue as of 2025. Its subsidiaries include Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, Paramount Network, and Smithsonian Channel. Functioning as the division of Paramount Skydance Corporation, it oversees the operations of its television channels and online brands. The division, originally established as MTV Networks in 1984 and named after MTV, was later known as Viacom Media Networks from 2011 and ViacomCBS Domestic Media Networks from 2019 until 2022.
