Previously, on February 5, Jarrod Erbe used the Platypod system for stable positioning of both camera and lighting accessories within a compact tabletop studio while photographing an Old Fashioned cocktail. This followed January 27, when Pulitzer Prize winner Kevin Painchaud utilized the Platypod Delta to create a timelapse at Aptos Creek, capturing long exposure imagery of flowing water and textured details. Earlier, on January 16, Lee Hall conducted macro photography experiments with Platypod to create a series of images focused on light and water. In December 2025, Hall also used Platypod to build a Christmas macro scene, capturing Santa inside a bubble.
