PNY reportedly denied a warranty claim on September 27, 2026, for a melted GeForce RTX 5090, reportedly citing a "lame cable rule" regarding the use of the graphics card manufacturer's own native 12V-2x6 cable. Previously, on September 26, reports indicated PNY allegedly refused to cover a melted RTX 5090 powered by a native power supply cable, reportedly closing the user's support ticket when questioned about its policy. This followed an earlier statement on September 25, where PNY explicitly stated that RTX 5090 connector damage occurring with a native PSU cable is not covered under warranty, highlighting NVIDIA's lack of clear recommendations for specific cables with the RTX 5090. Separately, on September 21, PNY appointed MTC as its official distributor in Saudi Arabia. This appointment aims to accelerate AI innovation within the region, supporting Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 agenda through investments in artificial intelligence and digital transformation. The partnership addresses growing demand for high-performance computing platforms capable of supporting sophisticated AI workloads across sectors such as healthcare, finance, manufacturing, education, and transportation.
