Polecam, a privately owned UK-based company founded in 1997, specializes in broadcast media production and distribution. Employing approximately 10 people as of 2023, the company offers high-definition broadcast solutions utilizing its proprietary single-operator jib arm and miniature HD camera systems for diverse applications.
Polecam products were featured at IBC 2025 in Amsterdam as part of Villrich Broadcast's integrated production ecosystem demonstration. A Polecam system, incorporating a Sony Burano camera, was used in a Formula E commercial filmed in London and Saudi Arabia in an unspecified month and year. The project's selection of the Polecam system was driven by cost and ease of use considerations compared to larger alternatives. At least two AutoPod Plus kits were used on the Oasis tour, the dates of which are unspecified. Three AutoPod Plus/Pancake systems, along with Sony FR7 cameras and CueScript Prompters, controlled via Skaarhoj PTZ Extreme, were deployed at Paramount via CVP on an unspecified date.
