The Polish Army expects the first K2PL tanks, assembled in Poland, to enter service by 2028, contributing to Warsaw's plan to field a fleet of 1,900 modern tanks by 2035. Previously, on February 18, 2026, the Polish General Staff banned military personnel from connecting service phones to the infotainment systems of Chinese-made vehicles and prohibited privately owned Chinese vehicles from entering military facilities. This follows an agreement concluded on October 29, 2025, where Milrem Robotics partnered with WAT (Military University of Technology) to develop unmanned weapon systems. Brigadier General Prof. Przemysław Wachulak, Commandant-Rector of WAT, and Kuldar Väärsi, Managing Director of Milrem Robotics, signed the agreement.
