On September 29, 2026, Prodys introduced a new USB Headset License for its Quantum Lite portable IP audio codec, expanding its capabilities with an additional independent audio input and output via its USB 2.0 Type-A port, allowing broadcasters to connect a USB headset directly. Earlier, Prodys announced its participation in IBC 2026, held from September 11 to 14, where it presented innovations for IP-based production workflows. In late June, the company highlighted its Quantum2 W, describing it as a portable codec for live sports commentary that condenses outside broadcast capabilities into a compact solution. The Quantum2 W manages two independent stereo channels and one video feed with sub-300 ms latency, offering bidirectional professional audio and video. Previously, on May 8, Prodys issued technical recommendations for using its portable Quantum Lite and Quantum2 W/XL equipment in the United States, ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026, which took place from June 11 to July 19 in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
