Prodys, a privately owned company headquartered in Spain, was founded in 1995 and operates with approximately 30 employees. The company specializes in connectivity infrastructure, functioning as an audio and video codec manufacturer with a focus on OB (Outside Broadcast).
Prodys announced its participation in IBC 2026, scheduled for September 11-14, where it will present the latest innovations for IP-based production workflows at Hall 8 Stand 8.C73. In June 2026, the company highlighted its Quantum2 W portable codec, designed for live sports commentary, which provides bidirectional professional audio and video with sub-300 ms latency, managing two independent stereo channels and one video feed. Earlier, on May 8, 2026, Prodys issued technical recommendations for the use of its portable Quantum Lite and Quantum2 W/XL equipment in the United States, in anticipation of the FIFA World Cup 2026. This followed an April 14, 2026 announcement regarding a series of upcoming online webinars via Microsoft Teams. Previously, in November 2025, DAZN DACH and NVP utilized Prodys Quantum2 W technology to deliver commentator audio and live video directly from the stadium during El Clásico coverage.
