This follows the March 16 announcement of its new AI initiative, Visual Reasoning AI, which utilizes Vision Language Models (VLMs), including the real-time Moondream model. This AI allows PTZ cameras to understand and describe visual input, enabling users to specify objects for tracking—such as a presenter or a hand gesture—without relying on traditional methods or requiring retraining, effectively teaching the cameras to interpret visual information beyond basic controls. Earlier, on February 11, SimplTrack3 received the "Best of Show" award at ISE 2026 for its automated subject tracking and framing capabilities designed for lecture and presenter capture. PTZOptics also showcased intelligent video integration at ISE 2026 on January 15, emphasizing the ease of integration and the role of its technology in empowering visual reasoning and AI applications, as stated by Chief Revenue Officer Paul Richards.
