Punkrobot Animation Studio

Punkrobot Animation Studio, a privately owned company headquartered in Chile, was founded in 2008 and employs approximately 40 people, specializing in entertainment content rights. The company operates as an independent animation film and television studio, focusing on highly stylized computer graphics and narrative storytelling for young and international audiences. Its short film *Bear Story (Historia de un oso)* received the Oscar for Best Animated Short Film at the 88th Academy Awards, becoming the first Chilean production and the first animation from Latin America to win an Academy Award. Its intellectual property library features rich visual textures and socio-historical themes. Productions include *In the Stars*, an episode produced for Lucasfilm's *Star Wars: Visions Volume 2* on Disney+; the preschool series *Guitar and Drum*, co-produced with Brazil's Hype Animation Studio; the preschool property *Wow Lisa*, which received the Annie Award for Best Animated Television Production for Preschool; and its CGI feature film *Brave Cat*.
