QVC Japan, a privately owned media and TV services company founded in 1986, operates in Japan. Employing approximately 130 people, the company generated less than $100 million in revenue in 2023. A subsidiary of QVC, it has expanded its business model beyond television shopping to include e-commerce and mobile commerce platforms.
QVC Group reported a 7% decrease in second-quarter revenue in USD and a 9% decrease in constant currency. The company recorded an operating loss of $2.3 billion, attributed to a $2.4 billion impairment charge. Separately, QVC International reported a 3% increase in revenue in USD. In a different report, annual revenues from home products decreased for the third consecutive year at QVC/HSN, and fell for the second consecutive year at Cornerstone. Total home category revenue in the QVC/HSN division (excluding QVC International) decreased by 5.1% to $2.6 billion.
