Racing Club de Montevideo

Racing Club de Montevideo, a privately owned entity headquartered in Uruguay, was founded in 1919. The club focuses on generating revenue through sports tickets, merchandise, and sponsorship. Functioning as a professional football club, it currently participates in the Uruguayan Primera División, having won the Torneo Competencia in 2022. Known as "La Escuelita" (The Little School) due to the standard of players emerging from its teams, Racing Club de Montevideo recently underwent economic reorganization and transformed into a sports corporation (SAD) following economic challenges. An associated investment program supported its promotion to Uruguay's first division in 2022.
