Radio Televizija Republike Srpke - RTRS, a state-owned broadcaster based in Bosnia and Herzegovina, operates broadcast television and radio services. RTRS began its operations on April 19, 1992, with the first news broadcast (Dnevnik) aired from the Banja Luka studio. As one of the three equal broadcasters within the Public Broadcasting Service of Bosnia and Herzegovina, RTRS primarily covers events within the entity of Republika Srpska and provides information to its subscribers, with the RTV tax serving as the primary source of funding for the organization.
