Radio Times is a privately owned company headquartered in the UK, founded in 1923, and employs approximately 1,010 individuals, functioning as a UK TV and Entertainment brand.
Radio Times senior designer Nick Wells recently discussed the brand's first major rebrand in over 20 years, stating on February 18, 2026, that extensive research aimed to understand and engage new audiences, emphasizing the need to showcase the brand's "eccentric side." The new visual identity draws inspiration from the brand's 100-year heritage and legendary archival design for a distinct retro feel. Previously, on February 12, the publisher detailed the refreshed look, which centers around a new logotype and RT digital icon, drawing inspiration from Radio Times mastheads of the 1970s and 80s while aiming to futureproof the brand with a contemporary feel. This followed the brand's unveiling of its new visual identity on February 2, which marked the 103-year-old title's first significant brand refresh in more than two decades. Developed in collaboration with branding agency Why Projects, the rebrand included a newly drawn logotype and icon by designer Rob Clarke, intended to reposition Radio Times for a rapidly changing media landscape and unite its app, website, and podcast.
