On September 12, 2025, Radisys Corporation received the O-RAN End-to-End Badge at the i14y Lab Summit 2025 for its 5G SA RAN Software. PLDT Inc. and Smart Communications Inc. collaborated with Radisys on a proof of concept to expand broadband access in the Philippines. This partnership involved testing Radisys' Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) technology as a potential alternative to fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) infrastructure, announced on Monday. Further testing of Radisys' FWA technology by PLDT and Smart Communications aims to improve internet access in areas with challenging fiber deployment. Separately, Kratos Defense & Security Solutions reported on July 17 that over-the-air testing with Intelsat validated a 5G non-terrestrial network (NTN) gNodeB developed by Kratos with Radisys' OpenSpace software.
