Royal College of Nursing, a non-profit organization headquartered in the UK, was founded in 1916. Functioning as the world’s largest nursing union and professional body, it represents over half a million nurses, student nurses, midwives, and nursing support workers in the UK and internationally. As a member-led organization, it works collaboratively with its members to influence governments and other bodies, improve working conditions, and campaign on issues designed to raise the profile of the nursing community.
