Royal Institute for Theatre, Cinema and Sound, also known as RITCS, is a State Owned institution headquartered in Belgium, founded in 1962 and employing approximately 60 individuals. It functions as a Brussels media and theatre school, operating as part of the Erasmus University College Brussels, a higher education institution in association with the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. A distinctive feature of RITCS is the strong integration of different specializations, including animated film, image, documentary, drama (directing or acting), film, sound, editing, stagecraft, production management, radio, writing, and television. The institute offers professionally oriented bachelor's degrees in audiovisual arts and stagecraft, in addition to academically oriented bachelor's and master's degrees. RITCS operates from two campuses: the main campus in Dansaertstraat, which houses classrooms, recording studios, course services, student administration, a café, and a cinema, and the Bottelarij campus, which focuses on drama and stagecraft courses.
