Royal Institute for Theatre, Cinema and Sound

Royal Institute for Theatre, Cinema and Sound, also known as RITCS, is a State Owned institution headquartered in Belgium. Founded in 1962, it operates with approximately 60 employees and reported $8.0M in revenue as of 2023. Functioning as a tier 2 media tech buyer, RITCS operates as a Brussels media and theatre school and is part of the Erasmus University College Brussels, a higher education institution in association with the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. A distinctive feature of RITCS is the strong integration of specializations, including animated film, image, documentary, drama (directing or acting), film, sound, editing, stagecraft, production management, radio, writing, and television. In addition to professionally oriented bachelor's degrees in audiovisual arts and stagecraft, the institution also offers academically oriented bachelor's and master's degrees.
