On July 16, 2026, RTW highlighted its Network Display, which extends metering beyond physical devices, allowing any metering view to appear in a standard web browser for single control rooms or entire broadcast facilities. Earlier the same day, the company explained that Network Display scales across larger installations by having each browser instance consume local computer processing resources, thus preserving device resources and making performance dependent on the local machine running the browser. On July 14, RTW observed that 5.1 surround remains the primary production and transmission format for broadcasters, with stereo also playing a significant role, despite industry focus on immersive audio like Atmos. Previously, on April 20, Thomas Valter, RTW's Director of Product Management, introduced the TMxCore as a new generation metering device designed for modern workflows in major broadcast and production facilities, as well as smaller setups like OB vans, encouraging classic TouchMonitor users to consider it as an upgrade.
