February 29, 2024 Latvian technology company SAF Tehnika has significantly broadened its portfolio with the acquisition of a 50.5% stake in AeroVictory Baltic, a drone manufacturer. This strategic move signals SAF Tehnika’s entry into the rapidly evolving unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) market, with plans already underway for in-house drone development and testing.

Over 7.5 million euros is being invested into drone technology in Latvia, a figure that underscores a rapidly escalating global demand. This isn’t just about hobbyist flying; it’s about a fundamental shift in national security, border control, and critical infrastructure monitoring.

AS SAF Tehnika informs that the Management Board of the Company has resolved, with the approval of the Supervisory Council, to invest in and acquire 102 shares in SIA “AeroVictory Baltic”. The share capital of SIA “AeroVictory Baltic” is EUR 20,200.

Latvian technology company SAF Tehnika reported a sharp rise in revenue in the second quarter of FY 2025/2026, with unaudited consolidated net turnover reaching €15.23mn – double the level recorded in the same period a year earlier, the company said on its website saftehnika.com During the quarter, SAF Tehnika sold products in 70 countries and established a new subsidiary, SAF LATAM S.A.S ., in Colombia , in which it holds a 51% stake.

In the second quarter of the financial year 2025/2026, the Group's unaudited consolidated net turnover was 15,23 million euros, which is twice as much as in the second quarter of FY 2024/2025. The Group closed the 2nd quarter of the financial year 2025/2026 with an unaudited profit of EUR 2.74 million.

On January Latvian Minister of Defence Andris Sprūds visited SAF Tehnika to see firsthand the prototype of a radio signal jamming system developed by the company in cooperation with the Autonomous Systems Competence Center and designed to neutralize unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), commonly known as drones.
