Sanya Phoenix International Airport, publicly owned and headquartered in China, was founded in 1994, employs approximately 70 individuals, and reported $8.6M in revenue as of 2024. The airport functions as an international airport serving the city of Sanya in South Central China's Hainan province, located about 15 km (9 mi) northwest of the city center. It operates as a main airport hub, comprising close to ten thousand acres. The facility features a runway approximately 3,400 metres (11,200 feet) long and 60 metres (200 feet) wide, designed to satisfy the take-off and landing requirements of fully weighted Boeing 747, Airbus A340, and other large aircraft.
