SCTV, a privately owned company headquartered in Indonesia, began broadcasting on August 24, 1990, in Surabaya, East Java, and currently operates with approximately 1,310 employees. The company specializes in broadcast media production and distribution. Initially broadcasting only to Surabaya and its surrounding area, SCTV expanded with SCTV Bali established in 1991. It received a national license on January 1, 1993, subsequently moving its operations to Jakarta, where its main office is in South Jakarta and studios are located in West Jakarta.
