Seoul Film Commission, also known as SFC, is a State Owned entity based in South Korea. Founded in 2002, the organization operates under the systematic support of the Seoul Metropolitan Government, functioning as a crucial hub for the city's film and television industry. Its core mission is to promote Seoul as a filming location and provide comprehensive production support for both domestic and international projects, including feature films, dramas (K-dramas), documentaries, and commercials. The SFC's services include offering advice on shooting locations, acting as a liaison for obtaining filming permits from Seoul Metropolitan Government-affiliated entities for landmarks, public spaces, and traffic facilities, and connecting productions with local service companies and crew. Additionally, the SFC operates several incentive programs, such as Production Cost Support, offering up to a 30% cash rebate of the budget spent in Seoul (with a maximum of KRW 300 million for international productions), and financial assistance for Location Scouting Support and Seoul Screenplay Development.
