Sociedad Española de Radiodifusión (SER), a privately owned Spanish company founded in 1924, is a broadcast media production and distribution network. Operating under the name La Cadena SER, it had a reported regular listenership of 4,139,000 in 2018. The company employs approximately 1,950 people and is headquartered in Spain.
Cadena SER reported on Spain's wildfires, describing the situation as unprecedented in 20 years, with the fires spreading to the Picos de Europa mountains on Monday, prompting the closure of a section of the Camino de Santiago. The fires, fueled by a 16-day heatwave, had already devastated over 115,000 hectares in Galicia and Castile and Leon.
