Silvus Technologies released a data sheet for its StreamCaster LITE 5200 on February 20, 2026. Previously, on February 4, the company published the data sheet for its StreamCaster MINI 5200 (SM5200). This followed the February 3 unveiling of the SM5200, which Silvus, owned by Motorola Solutions, announced as its smallest tactical radio with full mobile-ad-hoc-network (MANET) capabilities. Ryan Perry, Silvus Technologies’ senior product manager, highlighted that the SM5200 is smaller than a cellular smartphone, contrasting it with previous MANET radios that exceeded the size of Motorola Solutions’ APX P25 portables. The fully featured MANET radio allows ground forces to securely share voice, video, and data via mesh networking without relying on dedicated infrastructure.
