On October 2, Smilegate will open "Celine," the second new world for NPIXEL's MMORPG *Eclipse: The Awakening*. Consisting of three servers, "Celine" will operate as a separate matchmaking group from existing worlds. Earlier, on October 8, Smilegate plans to launch 'Neon Abyss 2,' a new title targeting the global roguelike market, in partnership with Chinese developer Veewo Games. This follows Smilegate Chief Vision Officer Kwon Hyuk-bin's appeal on September 28 against a Seoul Family Court ruling that ordered him to divide company shares and cash totaling approximately 2.55 trillion won ($1.88 billion) with his former spouse. Kwon's legal representatives stated he seeks to restore the marital relationship, challenging what would be the largest divorce asset settlement in South Korean history. Previously, Smilegate concluded its participation in Tokyo Game Show 2026, held from September 17 to 20, showcasing *MIRESI* and *Dead Account* to pave the way for expansion into the global subculture market. The event's originally planned fifth day was canceled due to Typhoon Dujuan.
