SoftLab-NSK, a privately owned company headquartered in Russia, was founded in 1988 by a group of scientists from the Russian Academy of Sciences with experience in the Russian space program. It currently employs approximately 30 individuals. The company specializes in developing hardware and software for television broadcasting, television production, and virtual reality systems. Its products, known as "Forward" systems, are used by over 1,500 companies in 65 countries. SoftLab-NSK also specializes in creating training simulators and computer games.
