Sonda is a publicly owned company headquartered in Chile. Founded in 1974, with approximately 12,090 employees, the company reported $1.5 billion in revenue as of 2025. It specializes in information technology and services, operating throughout Latin America as a provider of IT solutions. The company develops and customizes software applications, hardware platforms, and provides consulting services, predominantly to the private sector.
Sonda reported a net income attributable to owners of the parent of US$11 million for the first half of 2026, an increase of US$7.4 million over the same period in 2025, according to its July 24 filing with the Financial Market Commission (CMF). Earlier, Sonda S.A.'s stock earnings and revenue data released on June 24 showed the company's Q1 2026 earnings at 4.4 billion CLP and revenue at 361.8 billion CLP. For the previous quarter, Q4 2025, earnings reached 11.3 billion CLP with revenue of 334.1 billion CLP, while Q3 2025 recorded earnings of 2.3 billion CLP and revenue of 380.8 billion CLP. This financial reporting followed the June 4 launch of a US$7.6 million fare collection modernization program for Panama's Metro and MiBus networks, where Sonda acted as the technology partner for the Government of Panama.
