South African Football Association

South African Football Association, a state-owned entity headquartered in South Africa, was founded in 1992 and employs approximately 300 people. The organization functions as the national administrative governing body responsible for controlling the sport of football within the Republic of South Africa (RSA) and is a member of the Confederation of African Football (CAF). The South African Football Association (SAFA) is notably the second football association in South Africa to affiliate with FIFA, and, distinct from its predecessor, permits a mixed-race national team, thereby contributing to inclusive football governance within the country.
