The South Carolina Educational Television Commission (SCETV) is a state-owned public educational broadcasting network headquartered in the United States. Founded in 1957, SCETV provides national and local educational content to classrooms through its streaming services, including Knowitall.org and PBS Learning Media. The organization also offers teacher training and re-certification programs both in-person and online. With a staff of approximately 160 employees, SCETV is dedicated to promoting educational opportunities and resources for the state of South Carolina.
SCETV attended the Brassica Field Day at Clemson University’s Coastal Research and Education Center in the fall of 2023. The event highlighted research and techniques for Brassica crops. Beginning February 24, 2024, WNSC 88.9 FM Rock Hill experienced broadcast transmitter upgrades, resulting in potential outages and low-power broadcasts. These interruptions, intended to be minimal, allowed for the safety of tower crews and offered streaming options at southcarolinapublicradio.org. In 2024, SCETV received a Notable State Documents award for AfterActionShow.org, a website promoting the SCETV program, After Action, which shares veterans' experiences. SCETV was not involved in the Read Freely Fest in Columbia, South Carolina, this spring.
