Southern Media Corporation, also known as SMC, is a privately owned entity headquartered in China. Founded in 2004, the company reported $716.8M in revenue as of 2023. Functioning as the first provincial-level "all-media" conglomerate in China, it was created through the merger of Guangdong Television (GDTV), Southern Television (TVS), and Radio Guangdong. The corporation serves as the primary operational and industrial platform for Guangdong Radio and Television (GRT), managing the province's broadcasting resources, which include terrestrial and satellite channels, radio frequencies, and the regional cable network. It also operates Guangdong South New Media (SNM), a publicly listed entity that manages IPTV and OTT services nationwide.
