Initially established as Spyglass Entertainment in 1998 by Gary Barber and Roger Birnbaum, the brand was relaunched under Barber in 2019 in partnership with Lantern Capital Partners. This restructuring involved the absorption of extensive assets, film libraries, and unproduced intellectual property (IP) from the former Weinstein Company and Dimension Films.
