StreamYard, a live streaming platform, tested a new Live Producer tool in January 2022, enabling broadcasters to go live from their desktops using streaming software like OBS Streamyard and Streamlabs. In the same month, Hopin announced its acquisition of StreamYard. Hopin, an events hosting platform, saw a significant rise in its user base, growing from 85,000 to just under 6% in less than a year. The acquisition of StreamYard aimed to enhance video features for current and future customers. In addition, StreamYard has been utilized by the company since the start of the pandemic to conduct weekly live streams for customers and prospects.
