Synthesia, a privately owned company founded in 2017 and headquartered in the UK, develops software that generates synthetic media. Employing approximately 260 people, the company's primary product is a platform enabling the creation of AI-generated video content.
Synthesia reached $100 million in annual recurring revenue in April. In a collaboration announced on an unspecified date, Synthesia and Amazon Web Services (AWS) expanded their partnership. This involved making Synthesia's AI video platform available through AWS Marketplace, increasing use of AWS cloud services for model training, and AWS adopting Synthesia's AI Dubbing technology. On an unspecified date, Synthesia launched Express-2, a new video and voice engine for AI avatars combining voice cloning with a diffusion transformer model. Express-2 aims to create full-body avatars with realistic gestures and lip sync. On an unspecified date, Synthesia signed a five-year lease for a 13,600-square-foot office at 245 Fifth Avenue in New York City.
