T-Sat Network, also known as Telangana State Network India, SoFTNET, or Society for Telangana State Network, is a State Owned entity headquartered in India. It functions as an initiative of the Department of Information Technology, Electronics and Communications of the Government of Telangana State, providing educational channels. The network operates using the GSAT 8 Satellite and telecasts four channels, including T-SAT NIPUNA and T-SAT VIDYA, which cater to the distance learning, agriculture extension, rural development, tele-medicine, and e-governance requirements for the people of Telangana.
On June 18, 2026, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Department of Business Management Mahatma Gandhi University (MGU) and Telangana Skills and Academic Training (T-SAT) to expand online educational opportunities through additional online classes and new certificate programs. Previously, on May 13, 2026, the Telangana government transferred T-SAT from the IT and Communications Department to the Education Department. This move, formalized by an order from the Chief Secretary, aims to streamline satellite-based educational services and improve access for rural and underprivileged communities. Earlier in the year, on January 11, 2026, T-SAT Network announced it would telecast digital content for the EAPCET (Engineering Agriculture and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test) 2026–27. The program was scheduled for 112 days, starting January 12 and concluding on May 2, with a total of 450 episodes aired to help students prepare for competitive examinations.
