Tacoma Community College (TCC) is a state-owned institution of higher education founded in 1965 and located in Tacoma, Washington. It employs approximately 950 people and offers various post-secondary educational programs.
Tacoma Community College (TCC) hosted its annual writers’ conference, "craft creativity & connection," on November 7-8 at the Gig Harbor campus, featuring writer Rebecca Brown. On an unrelated note, three first-year Radiologic Technologist students from the 2025 Spring cohort received scholarships from the TRA Medical Imaging Foundation. Three new members joined the TCC Foundation leadership board this summer, including Tim Flood, who previously served as Vice President and Chair of the Governance Board. The 23rd Annual Juried Local Art Exhibition concluded with a closing reception on August 14. Finally, President Ivan L. Harrell II was elected to the Board of Directors of the American Association of Community Colleges.
