Taiwan Broadcasting System, also known as TBS, is a state-owned public broadcasting group headquartered in Taiwan. Founded in 2006, it functions as Taiwan’s principal public broadcasting organization, operating two of the country’s main television networks: CTS (Chinese Television System), which manages five channels, and PTS (Public Television Service), which manages three. The company also runs Hakka TV, a channel dedicated to programming in the Hakka language. In the last quarter of 2021, TBS launched TaiwanPlus, an English-language streaming service providing on-demand news, documentaries, and cultural programming for an international audience.
