Tamil Nadu Arasu Cable TV Corporation, also known as TACTV, is a state-owned public sector undertaking headquartered in India (Chennai). Established in 2007, the corporation provides cable television and digital services to the public. Functioning as a Multi System Operator (MSO), TACTV was the first state-run agency in India to be granted a Digital Addressable System (DAS) license, allowing it to deliver digital cable signals across the state through a network of Local Cable Operators (LCOs). Beyond its core television services, which include standard and high-definition channel packages, TACTV has diversified into a multi-service provider, managing hundreds of Arasu e-Sevai Centers that offer e-governance services such as Aadhaar registration and utility bill payments. Additionally, the corporation contributes to the state's digital infrastructure by implementing "Internet to Every Household" schemes and collaborating on the BharatNet project to provide broadband and high-speed fiber connectivity to both urban and rural areas.
