It specializes in broadcast television and radio, serving as a public regional television station for the seven departments of the Colombian Caribbean region: Atlántico, Bolívar, Cesar, Córdoba, La Guajira, Magdalena, and Sucre. The organization operates as a decentralized industrial and commercial entity of the state, managed by the regional governments and the national communications authority. Telecaribe manages a broadcast infrastructure that includes high-definition (HD) linear signals, the Telecaribe Plus digital channel, and the Telecaribe Premium streaming platform.
On January 31, 2026, Telecaribe transmitted the celebration in Riohacha honoring the Virgin of the Remedies, a cultural and faith-based event that reaffirms the cultural roots of the Riohacha people. Previously, on January 30, Telecaribe announced special programming for January 31, showcasing Atlantic Carnival traditions with a focus on music, tradition, and joy, featuring Millo Cumbia Queens.
