On February 9, 2026, Telecel Group Chief Executive Moh Damush urged African nations to leverage their digital potential, advocating for investment in connectivity and skills to transform vast resources into sustainable solutions. Earlier, on February 7, Damush emphasized that empowering small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), women, and youth through deliberate investment in digital connectivity and skills development is crucial for sustainable economic growth across the continent. This followed his call on February 6 for African governments and regulators to ease cross-border payment systems, speaking at the Africa Prosperity Dialogues 2026, noting that seamless digital payment platforms are vital for unlocking the full potential of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA). Also on February 6, Telecel Group signed an agreement with King's Trust International to provide digital skills training to young people in Ghana, supporting a project for Junior High Schools to address gaps in access to practical ICT education.
