Television City, also known as CBS Television City, is a privately owned television production facility in the United States, founded in 1952. Employing approximately 600 people, it served as the master control center for CBS's West Coast television network operations from 1961 until 2018. In that year, CBS sold the facility to Hackman Capital Partners, retaining an exclusive lease on the premises.
On January 7, 2024, the Los Angeles City Council approved a project for the Television City studio property. This approval concluded a four-year planning and entitlement process. On an unspecified date in the same month, a partnership was announced between Hackman Capital Partners and Interwoven Studios. This partnership offers production services and studio amenities to social media influencers and other digital content creators. The initiative aims to address a production slump in California's entertainment industry by opening soundstages to these creators.
