Televisión Española (TVE), founded in 1956, is Spain's public television broadcaster. A subsidiary of Radiotelevisión Española (RTVE), it is a state-owned entity with approximately 2240 employees headquartered in Spain. TVE operates broadcast television and radio services and holds the distinction of being Spain's oldest regular television service, as well as the first such service in Equatorial Guinea.
