Thailand Film Office, also known as TFO, is a State Owned entity based in Thailand. The agency supports and facilitates foreign film production teams and functions as an information center for foreign film production crews. Its core objectives include generating national income and promoting tourism, culture, and arts within Thailand. TFO is responsible for granting permits for filmmaking and monitoring films to ensure they do not adversely affect Thailand. It coordinates with other Thai government agencies to facilitate the work of foreign film crews and acts as the assistant secretary agency to the national film committee. Additionally, TFO operates as a member of the Association of Film Commissioners International (AFCI) and participates in international film festivals to promote Thailand as a filming location, aiming to persuade filmmakers to utilize locally available film production services, including equipment and film crews.
