On September 13, 2025, Harmonic announced a partnership with SKY Perfect JSAT Corporation to modernize its broadcast playout and delivery workflow using Harmonic's Software-Based XOS Advanced Media Processor. This partnership was also reported on September 17, 2025. In addition to the SKY Perfect JSAT Corporation partnership, Harmonic revealed several other partnerships within a few days, including those with Midco and Orbit Showtime Network, and launched a central management system for its hybrid streaming solution. Harmonic also announced the launch of Akamai Media Services Live 5 (MSL5), powered by Harmonic, which expands capabilities through support of diverse media formats, advanced monetization, and improved viewing experiences. Sky Perfect Jsat's deployment of Harmonic's XOS Advanced Media Processor resulted in a 40 percent increase in processing density compared to its previous platform.
