Tim Hortons, a privately owned company headquartered in Canada, was founded in 1964 and operates as a Canadian multinational coffeehouse and restaurant chain. With approximately 6,700 employees, the company primarily offers food and beverage services.
On May 1, 2026, Tim Hortons opened its 200th Mexican shop with a new construction in Fundidora Park in Monterrey. This expansion not only consolidates the quick-service restaurant chain's presence in northern Mexico but also represents a strategic alliance with the municipality to revitalize a recognizable space in Nuevo León's state capital, according to company official Juan José Gutiérrez Chapa. Previously, on April 30, the Tim Hortons Smile Cookie Campaign began, dedicating 100 percent of proceeds to local charities; in Dawson Creek, the Dawson Creek and District Hospital Foundation will receive the funds. Earlier, on April 29, Tim Hortons prepared to open two new locations in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, with construction underway at 1622 Northwest Broad Street to transform a former Arby's building into a new coffee and bake shop.
