Established in 2008 as a shared initiative by major public and private Italian broadcasters including Radiotelevisione Italiana (RAI), MediaForEurope, and Persidera, the company, which is a tier 2 media tech buyer, has approximately 20 employees and reported $9.2M in revenue as of 2024. Functioning as a neutral broadcast technology and platform provider, Tivu specializes in broadcast television and radio, promoting the adoption of digital terrestrial television (DTT) across Italy and managing tivùsat, Italy’s national free-to-view satellite television platform, to ensure universal broadcasting coverage across rural and remote regions underserved by terrestrial infrastructure.
