Also on June 8, the Wisconsin Center District Board of Directors terminated President and CEO Marty Brooks with cause, alleging his use of a district credit card for over $50,000 in personal expenses, including campaign donations, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Earlier, on June 4, Wisconsin Senate Leader Devin LeMahieu suggested a possible reconsideration of the failed budget surplus deal, provided two more senators support the bipartisan package that had previously passed the Assembly.
